In his first Chicago work, Pinder featured a minimal performance by Christopher Edwards, the superintendent at Hay Market Lofts. The video focuses on the dead pan expression of the performer as the texture scrolls behind him. By focusing on the confined environment of a Chicago elevator, Pinder forces the viewer to lock eyes with Edwards. The rise and fall of the elevator references a common social cycle.
