Continuing his investigation of dynamic movement, Pinder will be setting stage in the intimate gallery space of G-Fine Art. In Ben-Hur, the audience will witness six performers uniformly exerting their physical prowess, attempting to find the ‘perfect pace’ on rowing apparatus. Working in unison, the performers will confront a variety of obstacles that will work against their efforts to remain in-sync. Loosely inspired by the galley scene in the Hollywood epic, this crew will work themselves to exhaustion in this time-based endurance piece. Accompanied by the music of Madlib, Dan the Automater and White Shadow, this choreographed performance will delve into an outward display of virility and struggle.
